I tried a different serial cable, and now I get a serial console. This is
what it produces for printenv:

System Maintenance Menu

1) Start System
2) Install System Software
3) Run Diagnostics
4) Recover System
5) Enter Command Monitor

Option? 5
Command Monitor. Type "exit" to return to the menu.

AutoLoad=Yes

OSLoader=sash
crt_option=1
OSLoadPartition=dksc(0,2,0)
cpufreq=200

Is there anything that looks strange?
