This should also work, as long as the "Computer" running the tftpd
is reachable from the O2. But there are also tftp servers around for
other OS, like Windows. Eg. Cisco could have one for free download,
as tftp is also needed to update Cisco devices.

Probably it is also possible to boot the kernel from the tftp server
and then install from the CD, then you don't need the ftp server.
