It depends.  If someone finds the time to wedge the etc/etc.sgimips goo into
distrib/cdrom, then no docco is necessary.  I haven't the bandwidth right now
(the distrib/cdrom infra is IMHO unnecessarily convoluted).

Might be worthwhile for someone to ask releng if they would be willing to
use etc's iso-image target to generate ISO images for selected platforms.
