X will run on the SGI Indy.

There are two things you should watch out for when running X on the SGI indy.

First, when you check the XF86Config file for the indy, make sure the
mouse protocol is set to wsmouse, ie make sure /dev/wsmouse is used, not
/dev/psaux.

For some reason, the XF86Config file that came with NetBSD 2.0 for the
indy used /dev/psaux for the pointing device.

Second, if you have a newport(XL)graphics card, make sure it works nicely.

Refer to here if you are having any problems with the newport graphic card
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-sgimips/2004/12/26/0002.html

I have a XZ graphics card and it doesnt work so had to use an XL graphics
card.
