I'm new to sgipmips ... and stumbled across this in the FAQ:

"The serial port pinouts are the same as SPARC systems' serial ports, so
Macintosh serial cables work great for serial-console cables, as long as you
are willing to do it without hardware handshaking lines."


Now - I have lots of sparcs with serial console and I have one macintosh
cable. The ports on my O2 do match neither - they seem to be straight PC style
9 pin sub D male connectors.

The quoted paragraph obviously needs fixing, but I know nothing about other
sgimips hardware.
