|I've placed a snapshot at http://www.rezrov.net/netbsd/sgimips-2.0
|
|It includes a bootable CDROM image. X sets are included, but the server

I'm sorry guys, but I'm still having problems with this. I can now boot,
thanks to some hints I was shown off-list. sysinst starts and I can
disklabel and newfs, however I don't seem to be able to reliably open
the tar files due to problems with the on-board Adaptec SCSI controller
(if I'm reading these messages correctly) ...

after mounting the CD at /mnt, I tried to unpack the tar files to disk
manually, however this is the sort of thing that happens:

|# pwd
|/mnt/sgimips/binary/sets
|# ls -al base.tgz
|-r--r--r-- 1 0 wheel 21394672 Jul 9 04:12 base.tgz
|# tar -ztvf base.tgz
