Now I don't have the code in front of me (been playing with Irix on my 
box and I'd
like to find a second hd to install NetBSD again), but my first guess is 
that someone
commited a typo. That FIL is probably supposed to be FILE as in a FILE 
pointer
used in the standard C library for file access. See if that gets you any 
farther.
