In message <3849.1047389194@cs.ucl.ac.uk>, you write:

-> Is it really so special? anyone had any luck with less expensive simms?
-> seems ridiculous to spend 1 pound per MB on memory for these machines.
->
-> what is the exact spec? EDO parity 72pin 60(?)ns ??

I don't remember the spec, but if you haven't already done so, try eBay or
similar sites as well as new memory merchants. I've had good luck getting
O2 memory (which I *know* is totally non-standard and fairly expensive new)
via eBay.
