Thanks.  That is.... unfortunate.  I had gotten a Linux/Debian-mips port
working, sort-of, but it had its own problems, but I might have tor try
it again.  I wanna get this thing working as a workstation,
basic X, web browsing, etc. Basically, I'm stuck with free software, or
the exisiting install of IRIX 5.3 (yech).  Well, thanks anyway.  I wish i
could help, but I'm a user, not a coder. :-\
