Hi,

I have just uploaded a new snapshot based approximately on August 25
sources to

   ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/sgimips/snapshot/20010825/

This snapshot includes X11 binaries (of course no server) and the
sources used to build the snapshot.

For those running earlier versions of sgimips code, I suggest you use
these binary sets to update; doing it via source is going to be quite
painful.

Caveats:

o There is no ecoff version of the kernels in this snapshot; the
"make release" machinery didn't spit one out... The netbsd.IP22
kernels were created from a copy of the TEAL config, copied to
GENERIC, since the "make release" machinery expect a GENERIC config
   file.

o The sources are not *exactly* August 25 sources; the set lists and
section 4 manual pages were updated today, and one or two other
unimportant local changes are still sitting in the source tree
(sorry...). (Commenting "set -e" in the maketars script to work
around the "missing X11 server files", and a section 4 manual page
update I had overlooked to commit, and where the "best before" date
has expired and it needs cleaning.)

o There is support for the disk controller(s?) in these sources, and
reportedly it is possible to install on the hard drive. Our
documentation is however not up to speed on this particular point
   quite yet.

I've run this code on my build machine, a purple Indigo2 system.

Enjoy,
