Can anybody out there confirm that they have the pcn driver for the AMD
PCnet-PCI series of chips working on PPC?

Sure, from the dmesg of EXPLORA451 (PPC403GCX + AM79C971):

        le0 at elb0 irq 28
        le0: address 00:00:a7:02:c7:87
        le0: 8 receive buffers, 2 transmit buffers

That's not using the "pcn" driver. The 79c971 is also a PCI chip; what's the deal with it being on "elb0" there?
