Unless I'm mistaken, the Escala was successfully booted up to root
device selection back in the days when it was still called
NetBSD/powerpc.  I'm not aware of anything but OpenFirmware being
available for this machine, and NetBSD/prep will currently choke
without Residual Data.

Unsurprisingly, so does that of my Bull Estrella 300^W^W^WMotorola
PowerStack II. :-)
