Hi

I've reached the end of the line for my intel box and having shopped around I
really do not wish go YAIC (yet another intel clone) again. The problem is that
here in South Africa it is about the only thing banging about.

Are there any hardware hackers reading this mail that can assist me in exploring
getting a PPC based machine together that will run NetBSD/PPC? I would like to
purchase logic/CPU boards as to keep the import costs down, the exchange rates
(more that 5 South African Rand to the Dollar) and import duties (20%+)
on 'specialist' items are prohibitive for spending my 'hobby budget' on.

I'm quite willing (and darn eager :-) to help with the powerpc port - fair
warning, my code skills are eh, self taught. I've been hacking on BSD since the
386BSD days and build and picked errors out of many trees, but I ain't no
whizz, solder remains my best programming language :-)

Looking forward to the adventure. While I am subscribed to the list, please mail
me privately as to keep the list free for more important mail.
