Has anyone looked at the possibility of trying to get NetBSD/powerpc
running on the Motorola MPX100
(http://www.mot.com/GSS/MCG/products/systems/ds/mp100/MP100.html)?

This box is an OEM system designed to run AIX. The datasheet implies
that its based on some variant of the ultra motherboard (the name
"ultramax" is mentioned in the faq), so there's probably a chance of
getting a reasonable OpenFirmware implementation for it.

According to a PR
(http://www.mot.com/GSS/MCG/new/press_rel/pr971027.html) for it, OEM
prices start from US$2600. It can take up to a 300MHz 604e, so there's
plenty of grunt available if you can afford it.
