FYI. Motorola does not know about the NetBSD mailinglist. This is
not a complete replacement for libm.a, but Gary Thomas created a method for
wrapping libmoto.a so as to provide a complete libm.a. We need to see how
this can be distributed given Motorola's licensing terms -- possibly provide
libm.a using libmoto or provide wrapper mechanism so that those who download
libmoto.a can generate libm.a optimized for PowerPC.

                Announcing LIBMOTO for MkLinux

LIBMOTO, Motorola's enhanced math library, is now available for
MkLinux developers. The MkLinux developer version of the LIBMOTO
library implement the following standard C functions:

sin, cos, log, log10, sqrt, exp, pow, atan, atan2

This version of LIBMOTO does not contain any string or memory functions
and is provided as a static ELF library for the MkLinux environment.

LIBMOTO was initially released as a value-added tool for the Motorola C/C++
SDKs for Mac OS and Windows NT. It was not designed as a standalone
product. Motorola makes LIBMOTO available free of charge to help developers
make the best possible PowerPC software.

Furthermore, LIBMOTO is made available "as is". We encourage you to submit
bug reports and suggestions but we cannot guarantee when/if they will be
addressed. You must register LIBMOTO to receive any technical help.
