The PCI bus PowerMac models are:

model	CPU & MHz PCI slots?
7200	601 at 75, 90, 120 3
7500	601 at 100 3

7600	604 at 120, 132 3
8500	604 at 120, 132 3
9500	604 at 120, 132, 150 6

8500	604e at 150, 180 3
9500	604e at 180MP, 200 6

(you find the PPC 603e processor in Apple's "performa" consumer machines,
and in the laptoys because of their lower power consumption).

Now, a direct quote from the Apple Tech Info Library article entitled "PCI
Expansion Bus Architecture Description (9/95)":

One point that is especially significant is the change in
software that the move to PCI represents. All Apple
computers with PCI will have built-in Open Firmware
software, which is a standard (IEEE 1275) for booting PCI
cards in an OS-independent environment. Using Open
Firmware gives Apple flexibility in its choice of future
	operating systems.
