In my case depressing key produced "message not for us," while
moving mouse did "received junk."

ACCESS.bus (Desktop Bus) has bad reputations so far and it's
pain to make it right.

It's used to be somehow better when I tried Andy's code years ago.
At that time, my machine managed to go single user mode, and I tried
to figure out the key event sequence.
