The HX WSCONS driver uses accelerated hardware for two purposes; glyph
rendering and virtical line scrolling.  Column copying in a single
line does not use hardware.  I've never been successful in it.  If the
part is completed, the logic would directly contribute rectangle
window copying on screen.  Fully tailored Xserver could squeeze off
maximum hardware performance is a bit far away.
