I can confirm this. I had to terminate the red wire to get the machine 
to boot automatically, when using an EIZO Flexscan 21" greyscale 
monitor and my PMAGB-BA (An otherwise perfect monitor if I 
compare it with my DEC 19" color monitor which I use now)
