You shouldn't need any X-specific config files like, for example,
XFree86 uses on the i386. Check that you have a /dev/fb0 - it
should look like:
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 86, 0 Oct 24 17:25 /dev/fb0
and that you have a recognised frame buffer device - use
'dmesg | grep fb'. I don't have a box with a frame buffer at
present so I can't show you an example.
