since i just picked up a bunch of older AUI only (or AUI+10Base-2) DEC
boxes, i figured that instead of buying a bazillion transceivers i should
grab these two cheap boxes off of ebay:

Cabletron Systems MT-800 Multiport Transceiver Unit (MAU)

one "uplink" AUI port and 8 "regular" ports.  got two of the bastards.

the question are this:

what is SQE?
should i enable it?
what is LBK?
should i enable that as well?

that's all i need to know.  oh, also, the transceiver i got (just so happens
it's also a Cabletron) has the SQE sqitch on it as well.  should i enable it
here as well?

hmm, here;s a better idea, can somebody explain what SQE and LBK are?  if i
know, then i'm much better off in the long run.
