Both gives the same result; tftp loads 843 kbytes, and then tells me "Disk 
full or allocation exceeded." The kernel start, but hangs after the
SCSI device autoconfiguration, and there's no network activity at all.
(observe that my normal INSTALL kernel was able to load 895 kbytes 
before tftp said "Disk full", so there is space...)

I have PROM revision KN02-CA V2.0m. Your list mention that this version 
cannot tftp boot kernel made by using the old elf2coff. Can it be that the
PROM is too picky about the coff format and misinterpets some size 
directives?
