I have a DS5000/120 running NetBSD 1.2 with a serial console. I've just built
c-kermit and would like to use the other serial port. How do I do that?

I've gone to /dev/ and MAKEDEVved scc0, but I can't seem to get anything to
come out the port. If I cat something to /dev/tty00 it shows up on the 
console, which I expected. If I cat something to /dev/tty01 the machine sits
there for a bit and then comes back; nothing comes out the serial port.
