Hi NetBSDers,

I try to build a new kernel with the 1.2 binary distribution and the
ksrc-pmax and ksrc-common sources. Here is what I do:

> cd /usr/src/sys/arch/pmax/conf
> cp NEWCONF TEST
> config TEST

This gives me:
TEST:150: scsibus's cannot attach to sii's
TEST:151: scsibus's cannot attach to asc's
TEST:153: sd* at scsibus? is orphaned
 (nothing matching scsibus? declared)
TEST:154: st* at scsibus? is orphaned
 (nothing matching scsibus? declared)
TEST:155: cd* at scsibus? is orphaned
 (nothing matching scsibus? declared)

OK, I uncomment the lines referring to the new scsibus and try again:

> config TEST # This time everything is fine
> cd ../compile/TEST
> make depend
> make

And this stops with a bunch of error messages:
ioconf.c:71: warning: excess elements in struct initializer after `cfdata[0]'
ioconf.c:73: warning: excess elements in struct initializer after `cfdata[1]'
ioconf.c:75: warning: excess elements in struct initializer after `cfdata[2]'
[...]
ioconf.c:131: warning: excess elements in struct initializer after `cfdata[30]'
ioconf.c:133: warning: excess elements in struct initializer after `cfdata[31]'
*** Error code 1

Stop.

Anybody any idea????

I have to say that prior to the installation of the 1.2 binaries I had no
problem generating customized kernels from current kernel sources.

TIA,

Andreas Priebe

BTW If it matters: I use a 5000/200 on a serial console and do NOT use any
of the recent shared lib patches/distributions.
