Per's modifications are now in the GNU binutils snapshots at:
<ftp://ftp.cygnus.com/private/gas>
Please don't publicize this URL, and don't report any problems with
these snapshots to Cygnus or the FSF.

Hi,
It looks really good (so far). The latest gas+friends package
seems to be ok. You can pick it up from "ftp://ftp.enea.se/incoming/gas.tgz".
Configure as "mipsel-netbsd-elf". When compiling use -mabicalls -G0.
I haven't tested much but you can give it a shoot.

PS. You may have problem with DEPxxx in Makefiles. Just comment it out.
This has always bugged me, why just libbfd is a victim for this...
