Hello,
I'm still converting my decstations from utrix to NetBSD.
The last one is a decsystem 3100 with a serial console.
I've a bootable extern drive (tested on a 2100 with screen and keyboard),
but the kernel don't autoconfigure on the 3100. The kernel
hang just after the 'B' of 'Beginning old-style SCSI device autoconfiguration'.
Looking at the sources, i saw that this was the first thing printed after
switching from prom to dc driver.
So i've built a hacked kernel, witch don't try to use the dc driver
for console (uses only the prom driver), commenting out the relevant part in
cpu_cons.c. This kernel prints me 'Beginning old-style SCSI device
autoconfiguration' and then hang. I can't see what is wrong.
In the dmesg output of my 3100 I get 'pm0 at mainbus0 (1024x864x1) (console)'
Rigth, this 3100 seems to have a video board, but it is unused.
Wy does autoconf says 'console' for it ?
Any idea ? The dmesg output of my 2100 follow (same kernel).
