I am currently running a 5000/240 with a graphics card that
will disappear soon, and would very mouch appreciate the 
possibility to use a serial console (so I can do away with
Ultrix on this machine). I know serial consoles currently does
not work, so I hereby volunteer to do testing if anyone would
care to look at the code. Hopefully this message also will
contribute to increased priority for serial consoles.
