You bet! After fixing a small (one char) in conf.c. I'm running on
a MIPS R4400, essentialy the same as the pmax, with only eight meg
of ram. Yes 8 meg. The largest program i have run so far is linking
the X11R6 server. ld was nearly 13Meg as most. I takes almost 15 minutes
and the disk goes glowing in the dark. :-)  But it works, yes..
I have been running for almost 24 hours compiling/swapping without
any problems. Yes it was compiling the X11R6 core dist.
