I just built a generic for NetBSD/pmax with my new console code. I'd
like people who feel guinea-piggish to try it out. I am pretty sure
that it won't completely work anywhere except on the DECstation
5000/25 and possibly on machines with serial consoles, but I'd like to
get some reports on what happens when you boot it - do you see correct
output on your console, and can you type at your console?

I've tried it on a color DS2100 and on a MAXine, so I expect it to
continue to work there, but I have not tried it on machines with cfbs,
mfbs, or on monochrome DS2100 or DS3100s.

There are a.out and ECOFF versions on ftp.fugue.com in /pub, called
genbsd and genbsd.ecoff, respectively. Genbsd.ecoff can be booted via
TFTP or from a partition formatted by Ultrix, although I would not
recommend that you try to bring it up multiuser on an Ultrix
partition.

I'm going to check in these changes tomorrow, so if this generic
kernel doesn't work on your machine, I'd advise you to keep a backup
copy of your most recent supped kernel sources.
