port-pmax: Any success with recent kernel (`optimized' IP address byteswapping)?

I've built kernels from source that was sup'ed on June 4 and June 8.
Both the resulting kernels panic with a bad address during boot - when
starting mountd.

Has anyone  successfully booted a kernel built from the new IP code?
