port-pmax: Getting up to date

I've got a ds3100 running netbsd here, and would like to get it up to date.
Where are the goods stored at these days, and what procedure is recommended
either for a clean install or (better yet) an update?  If only a clean
install is given I'll fumble around and try an update anyhow  ;)
