I'm going to try to have a set of binaries by next Monday.   Given
those, you could presumably set up a system that did what you want.
Would that be sufficient, or are you determined to get going *now*?
If you are determined, it would be a public service if you figured out
why you're losing with init.   Try setting the SYSCALL_DEBUG option in
your config file.   This will print all the system calls to the
console.   Hm.   Just in case, you might also try defining
COMPAT_ULTRIX, COMPAT_43, COMPAT_09 and COMPAT_10...
