I have an ioctl ASIC functional spec, and a functional spec for the
5000/1xx, 5000/xx and 5000/240.   They do not agree with each other
completely, so I think that this does indeed bear looking into.

So if you never found out why SCSI DMA through the ASIC was wedging,
how did you eventually get it working?
