Those fixes from Arne H Juul  <arnej@dsl.unit.no> make the ultrix 
compat code considerably more useful.  I played around with my root 
this morning and many things worked.  I would urge people to sup, and 
play around, recording any bugs you find.  Fixing them would be even better.

still no fix to the disklabel mess.

binaries progress: gas/gcc seem happy now.  ld is the next target and 
should be relatively uneventful.
