I think I should give a small breafing for all new people on this list
what is happening :-)

I have managed to compile (or, get past the compiler step) all basic 
kernel files that are needed initially. This required some work, the
kernel is not always 36-bit friendly but it was easier than I thought.
This resulted in a bunch of bug reports to Lars, but he is happily
fixing bugs in the compiler :-)

The next step is to get a cross-assembler/linker running, so that we
can see if the generated code _is_ correct. That may take a while.
