Google can't find MAJ3281MC.

I suspect this is LVD wide.  (Step one is to verify this.)  LVD is supposed
to be compatible with SE.  For the wide->narrow, you need an adapter that
terminates the high byte.

has wide to narrow adapters for $13.50-$22.  They don't say, but I suspect
these are for LVD.  I would verify this before getting one.

The case you have to watch out for is plain differential, now sometimes
called High Voltage Differential to distinguish it from the newer Low
Voltage Differential.  The connectors are the same, but the pinout is
different.  Connecting a HVD drive to a SE bus like the PC532 has requires
a converter board.
