Subject: bim doesn't "stick"?

Well, I followed the instructions in INSTALL for installing the boot
blocks with bim and it seems that something's wrong because each time
I exit it and come back in again, I get the "Image information has
improper magic number." message even though I just technically
wrote it out. No errors are generated by `bim /dev/sd0c' and it
appears to do everything correctly, it just never writes it to the
right place I guess! :(

Any ideas? This makes autobooting a little difficult.. :)
