I've had similar core dumps and a less entensive fix that fixes, for
example emacs -nw.  I'll have to see if I can get this working on my
MC/R430.  Well, once I get the lcd cable repaired (see port-hpcmips
for details)...

Maybe I'll borrow a Clio from work and see how well that works these
days.  Time was that it was too slow and had too many things wrong
with it.  I wonder if the microdrive I have will fit...
