  I needed it because of some local changes I've been running with. Not
intializing pcb_onfault and/or pcb_segtab could potentially cause some
trouble as well.  It also clears the initial kernel stack, which makes
it a little easier to see how much kernel stack gets used.  The cache
flushes for the mips3 were from my initial attempts at getting the mips3
to run with the cache enabled.
