PowerBook4,1 hangs just after loading the install kernel on NetBSD 10
Hi.
I am trying to boot a NetBSD install CD on a PowerBook4,1 iBook G3/600
(https://everymac.com/systems/apple/ibook/specs/ibook_600.html).
Running "boot cd:\ofwboot.xcf" successfully loads the bootloader and
the kernel, but the system hangs just after printing "start=0x100000".
I have tried the prebuilt NetBSD 10.0, 10.1, as well as just yesterday
building NetBSD 10-stable with a generic kernel, and they all fail in
the same way. I tried changing the "output-device" variable, and it
didn't do anything. Not that I expected it to, because the CD isn't
being accessed at all, which implies it's actually frozen and not just
that I lost output.
I don't have easy access to a serial port on this machine, not that it
would necessarily help. What can I do to troubleshoot this? Any debug
options I should be setting for the kernel build?
Thanks.
