Odd, they're gone here but I didn't do a lot of network-heavy stuff 
either. Probably a different problem.

Ok, what kind of IDE controller is it? wdc at pci or wdc at obio? My 
iBook has both and they both work ( and so do Heathrow and Ohare IDE in 
my other machines )
