SMP is broken from earlier merges anyway. The branch covers only 
src/sys/arch/* so there's no ( or very little ) change in userland.

That looks indeed like interrupts aren't working right.

Well, it works fine on all my machines including an iBook G4 which 
should use the same kind of interrupt controller.

So,
- - how old are your sources?
- - what does your kernel config look like?
- - any chance to attach a serial console and catch kernel output?
- - please mail me your ofctl -p output, maybe there's some weirdness in 
the device tree we need to deal with.
