Nothing special:
/ext -maproot=root -network 192.168.0 -mask 255.255.255.0

Before that I had my sources on a sparc64 box running NetBSD - didn't 
need any voodoo either.
Btw. do you use the Mac's onboard ethernet interface (mc) ? Some people 
have trouble with it although mine ( in a UMAX S900 ) always worked 
fine. Symptoms would be abysmally low throughput and therefore lots of 
CPU idle time during builds over NFS. If you have the disk space you 
might want obj on a local disk.
