Hi,

I've just completed a round of pkgsrc bulk build for the 2006Q3
branch, and I'm about to unpack the tar file on the ftp server.
The bulk build framework ends up calling the directory for the
packages for "powerpc", and I'm inclined to call the directory on
the ftp server the same.

Does anyone know of a good reason why I should not do that, and
should instead use "macppc", since that's the architecture the
packages were built on? Anyone know if there exists architecture-
specific packages in pkgsrc?

Best regards,
