Hi

I have a problem with dump.....
I have just acquired a DEC TLZ10 dat-drive, and I am trying to dump =20
the entire disk to tape, but I get
the question: "Is the new volume mounted and ready to go?:" all the =20
time....

The NetBSD disk has the following layout:

# pdisk -l /dev/wd0c

Partition map (with 512 byte blocks) on '/dev/wd0c'
#: type name length base ( size )
1: Apple_partition_map Apple 2 @ 1
2: NetBSD/macppc*NetBSD 2147483647 @ 4 (1024.0G)

Device block size=3D512, Number of Blocks=3D19640880 (9.4G)
DeviceType=3D0x0, DeviceId=3D0x0
Drivers-
1: 23 @ 64, type=3D0x1
2: 36 @ 118, type=3D0xffff
3: 21 @ 192, type=3D0x701
4: 34 @ 246, type=3D0xf8ff

and from dump I get the following:

   DUMP: Found /dev/rwd0a on / in /etc/fstab
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Fri Aug 25 13:19:24 2006
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
   DUMP: Dumping /dev/rwd0a (/) to /dev/nrst0
   DUMP: Label: none
DUMP: mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
   DUMP: mapping (Pass II) [directories]
DUMP: estimated 7118286 tape blocks on 181.79 tape(s).
DUMP: Volume 1 started at: Fri Aug 25 13:20:19 2006
   DUMP: dumping (Pass III) [directories]
   DUMP: Closing /dev/nrst0
DUMP: Volume 1 completed at: Fri Aug 25 13:21:16 2006
   DUMP: Volume 1 took 0:00:57
   DUMP: Volume 1 transfer rate: 672 KB/s
DUMP: Change Volumes: Mount volume #2
DUMP: Is the new volume mounted and ready to go?: ("yes" or "no")

181.79 tapes for backup... that is perhaps a wee bit too much! ;-)

Any ideas ?
