I have an original beige G3 233MHz, ofw 2.0f1 that is happily running
-current from an IDE drive (and has been doing so for a long time).

Prior to that I used a SCSI drive and I don't recall trying IDE at the time
of the PR cited above, so I cannot tell whether I ever had this problem.
