Im looking at `ifconfig fw0` on my macosx machine and my mac 9600. the 
macos seems to default to an mtu of 2030, the netbsd machine seems 
unwilling to set this mtu, so i set the macos machine's mtu to 1500, 
figuring that parity is probably a Good Thing.

I ran a fireware cable from one box to the other but was unable to get any 
ip traffic flowing, should i have a crossover cable or a hub to connect 
the two?
