I've never had good experiences with Adaptec cards on anything other than 
x86. I switched to ATTO (siop and esiop) cards ages ago, and have never 
looked back. Most of them will even let you boot directly.

Is anyone successfully running an Adaptec SCSI card in heavy use on 
macppc?
