Not really. The processor ID is different, but that's all.

I started updating the processor initialization code to add support for 
setting the PLL registers and switching PLLs, but I haven't had time to 
finish that. I'll try to get to it this weekend. Note that my changes will 
make the PLL settable at boot time, but not while running - someone else 
will need to add a sysctl or APM support or whatever if this is going to 
be used for laptops.

I have two of these, too, which I posted about, and one is in a colocated 
PowerMac 9600. Moving from a 400 MHz 604ev to a 500 MHz 750GX makes for a 
HUGE improvement, mostly due to the cache. It'll be nice to see these 
things running at 1 GHz.
