Hello NetBSD community!

My name is Stephan and I am from Germany. Just recently I started
playing around with NetBSD after several years of experience on Apple
computers. In that time I have installed several Linux distributions
on my machines (Gentoo, Debian and even Suse) and came in contact
with FreeBSD on x86.
Now I have my Mac Mini and I decided to let it dual boot OS X and
NetBSD in order to learn more about the fundamentals of the BSD/Unix
world. Unfortunately I have run into some (minor) problems which I
hope to be able to solve by posting them to this list.

1.) In sysinst I cannot select an entry to set a password for root
from the utility menu. Neither can I set up a DHCP network or my
timezone. Could it be that the install document and the actual
sysinst program differ slightly or did I just not look hard enough?
It says NetBSD-2.0.2 Utilities in the menu title (I chose english as
the language for the installer).

2.) Although I set wscons=YES and uncommented "encoding de" in
wscons.conf my (German) keyboard is still not identified correctly.
Is there anything else I need to edit in order to get my tab and
backspace keys working (currently my delete key thinks its the
backspace key)?

3.) I tried to add the line
/dev/hd0e /shared ufs rw 1 2
to my fstab, but it does not look like netbsd can actually mount my
shared partition. Is the correct order of drives within fstab relevant?

For the record, I used the Netinst ISO from the netbsd ftp and used
it on my Mac Mini 1.42 GHz with 1 gig of RAM and the 80 GB harddrive.
I used both the install.html file found on the CD and the iBook
tutorial by Anselm[1] and successfully partitioned my HD and
installed NetBSD so I could boot from it.

My partitions are
/dev/wd0a root (1 gig)
/dev/wd0b swap (2 gig)
/dev/wd0d macos (HFS+, 40 gig)
/dev/wde /shared (UFS, 23.5 gig)
/dev/wd0g /usr

Any help is greatly appreciated (well as soon as I get my keyboard
working nicely in the console I guess I am all set and ready to
venture on by myself).
